Orienteering. It’s a worldwide sport of navigation running and it’s growing in popularity here in Israel. From classic pine forests and Mediterranean woodlands to coastal sand dunes, open prairies, runners run with a map, seeking out stations like a certain tree, a boulder, a cave or a terrace for example, and the first one back wins. Nitsan Yasur, Israeli orienteering champion and member of the national team, told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that the sport is for all ages and is an enjoyable way to see Israeli landscapes.  (photo: D.
