Using Psalm 95 the author of Hebrews warns believers, Christians, of the danger of falling away from following Christ. Two references are recalled of how to Stop the regression by remembering God's Word of promise and the confession of a true faith. "Well, on Saturday, about midnight the pilgrims began to pray; and continued in prayer till almost break of day.
