The 5-year survival rate for all cancers has reached 70 percent. That seven in ten figure illustrates a remarkable improvement in recent decades and demonstrates the progress of novel therapies for liver cancer, lung cancer, and more. But the growing population of survivors is navigating an imbalanced medical system and to answer our questions, KCBS Radio News Anchor Steve Scott spoke with Doctor Bill Dahut, chief scientific officer for the American Cancer Society.
