Data centers, especially those powering AI, consume massive amounts of electricity. Demand is growing, but the current grid is struggling to keep up. VTA has spent the last year and a half consulting transit experts, crunching the numbers and making changes to its massive BART expansion plan. However, the agency is still making contingency plans in case federal funding is delayed. The future of artificial intelligence in outer space looks promising.
