Sinopsis

It's time now for Ask An Expert. Every weekday at 9:20 AM, KCBS gives you direct access to top experts in various fields. Today we're seeing more adults over the age of 65 being diagnosed with IBD or inflammatory bowel disease. It's a trend significant enough that UCSF has opened the IBD Longevity Clinic, bringing together gastroenterologists, geriatricians, nutritionists and pharmacists to bring holistic treatment to this growing population. It's believed to be the first clinic of its kind in the country. To tell us more, KCBS's anchor Steve Scott spoke with Dr. Kendall Beck, gastroenterologist at UCSF and co-founder of the IBD Longevity Clinic.
