Paul, Silas, and Timothy greet the church in Thessalonica in the grace and peace that comes from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. They give thanks to God for the faith, love, and hope He has given to the Thessalonians. This fruit was produced among them by the Gospel, so that they imitated the Lord Jesus and the apostles as they suffered with great joy. This set an example to Christians throughout the world, as they remembered how the Thessalonians turned away from idols to serve the living God, who has given us Jesus and saved us from the wrath to come.  Rev.
