UPDATE: Police on Sunday evening said Military Advocate General Maj.-Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi was alive and well, after she had been unreachable since the morning, raising grave concern for her safety. Tomer-Yerushalmi resigned last week amid an investigation into her role in leaking video footage related to allegations of severe abuse of a Palestinian detainee by soldiers at the Sde Teiman detention facility. Dr. Eran Shamir-Borer, is Director of the Center for Security and Democracy at the Israel Democracy Institute, and is a Colonel (res.) and former Head of the International Law Department of the IDF Military Advocate General's Corps. Speaking to KAN reporter Naomi Segal prior to the reports on the searches for and locating of Tomer-Yerushalmi, he discussed the aspects and impact of the Sde Teiman affair.
