"The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’” 1 Kings 18:44 In the hush before the rain, a palm-sized promise rises. When God whispers “look again,” the breakthrough is already gathering strength. Just as a gentle breeze prepares a field for the downpour, so too do our moments of anticipation prepare us for blessings yet to come. In 1 Kings 18:44, Elijah’s servant looked toward the sky and saw only a small, distant cloud. Yet, that insignificant sight was a precursor to a torrent of rain. Just remember, sometimes we need to look closely and discern the small hints of God’s abundant grace. Elijah’s faith enabled him to see beyond the small dot of a cloud. “Small signals, big storms” is not just a saying; it’s a promise woven into the very fabric of faith. Imagine a fist-sized cloud on the horizon, seemingly unremarkable, yet it heralds a transformative dow
