All About Us Teen Talk Radio

The focus of today's program is the school-to-prison pipeline and it's impact on students of color and the educational landscape.  From the early 1980's strict "Zero Tolerance" policies and the political climate of the day yielded an increase in the response to student discipline in schools across America.  This response resulted in a disproportionate number of minority students being negatively affected by the application of these polices.   Tune is to hear and discuss the issues relating to these policies and how parents, teachers and administrators can turn the tide to improve discipline to change behavior instead of punish students.
