Jaquikeyah is 20 years old and in her 4th year at Colorado State University. She is a Women and Gender Studies Major with a minor in Anthropology and Political Science. She was born in Denver, Colorado and is an alumna of Denver North High School.  Jaquikeyah has been an activist for as long as she can remember. She is passionate about Social justice, the Black Lives Matter movement, women in Black Lives Matter, and spirituality. We talk in this episode about her experiences growing up with homelessness and being a Black woman who was given a White narrative to live by. She talks about learning to have agency which is the capacity of individuals to act independently and to make their own free choices. To not be afraid to use our voices and rock the boat when fighting injustice. Her message is a powerful one that will cause people who haven’
