There has been competition and perhaps even feuds between Zionist organizations since before the creation of the state of Israel. But the war has created opportunities for cooperation and mutual responsibility. For over a decade the Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael – Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) parted with the American-based Jewish National Fund (JNF-USA). But the two have reconciled and agreed to establish a 200 million shekel fund to help rebuild communities in the north and south of Israel. Reporter Arieh O’Sullivan spoke with David Yaari, chairman of Kol Israel – the General Zionist Party and also vice chairman of the Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael KKL-JNF, on the rapprochement and hear about the fund.
