On 5th May 1830 Thomas Edward Brown was born in New Bond Street, Douglas. Dollin Kelly's one-man tour de force performance of T E Brown's poem, 'Betsy Lee', which he took to the Edinburgh Festival, was recorded by Charles Guard for the Manx Heritage Foundation in 1992.
