Sinopsis

The New York Yankees won two out of three games against the Tampa Bay Rays this weekend, and they won those two games in different ways. On Sunday, they walked and hit singles in order to have a big four-run inning to take a lead while on Friday, Juan Soto hit a three-run home run that made it sound like a playoff game was being held in April. There were still some issues rearing their ugly heads this weekend against the Rays, like Aaron Judge and his four strikeouts on his bobblehead day and his lack of extra-base hits, Caleb Ferguson is having issues and picked up his third loss of the season—the Yankees only have seven. Luis Gil improved on Sunday, and Nestor Cortes was the bad luck starter who pitched well but wasn’t given run support. Then, Stacey looks at how the farm did this past week. Spoiler alert, Hudson Valley had three walk-off wins in a row, and none were home runs to end the game. Plus Stacey looks at Scranton, Somerset, and Tampa. Then Stacey previews the pitching matchups for the series again
