The book which was written by Alfred Lansburgh, a banker, economist, author, and publicist who passed away in 1937. The book details how the ignorance of well-educated Germans enabled the German hyperinflation to emerge which led to the rise of Hitler and his Nazi party and ultimately to World War II.
