CHICAGO, IL — My guest today is Mike LaVitola. Mike is the Founder and Chairman of Foxtrot, a modern-day convenience store headquartered in the Windy City. Mike and I sat down in Foxtrot’s global flagship store to discuss the growth of the brand he started a decade ago as a hungry  MBA student at Chicago Booth. Specifically, we delve deep into how Foxtrot has evolved from being a dream digital-only corner store with less than 30-minute delivery to a rapidly expanding national brand with locations in Chicago, D.C., Dallas and Austin. Mike and I cover a lot of ground on all things Chicago, hospitality but, most importantly, what it means for a brand to truly create a third place in society where customers are excited to not only transact in but also belong to.
