Since the war began, loads of organizations and grass roots initiatives have pitched in to send food to troops. One NGO, Asif, the culinary center of Israel, has gone beyond this and helped feed some of the tens of thousands of displaced Israelis too. Their newest initiative is to pair displaced Israelis, most who have been living in hotels, with Israeli families who offer their kitchens so they can prepare comforting home cooking.
