Armenian Quarter residents campaign against hotel project

Informações:

Sinopsis

Armenian residents of Jerusalem's Old City are protesting against the plan to build a luxury hotel on a large plot of land in the historic Armenian Quarter. An Armenian priest was defrocked after selling the plot , which today is mostly used as a car park,  to an Israeli-Australian property developer. The community is trying to stop the building of the hotel and suspect right-wing Jewish nationalist groups may be behind the initiative. KAN's  Mark Weiss spoke with Armenian Quarter resident Setrag Balian, co-founder of the Save The ArQ (Armenian Quarter)  movement , set up to thwart the sale.
