The goal of Hamas is to have Israel kill as many Palestinians as possible in order to draw world condemnation and isolate Israel. But the performance of the IDF was actually keeping civilian casualties lower compared to all other militaries engaged in war. This according to Colonel Richard Kemp, former British army commander, who has been in Israel almost since the war began. Colonel Kemp, who has spent most his life fighting terrorism and insurgency, commanding British troops on the front line in Afghanistan and Iraq, told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that the IDF has no option other than destroying Hamas and stay in the Gaza Strip like it is in Judea and Samaria.
