So What Do You Really Do?

Thanks again for downloading this episode of the podcast. A few months ago I sat down with a comedian from England, Robyn Perkins. Robyn is actually from Boston, moved to England, decided to start doing stand up comedy. We talked a lot of about the difference between how the comedy scene is in the UK compared to how it is here in the America (specifically Boston). I also asked Robyn a bit about her experiences being a woman in comedy, because as most people know, it’s very different than being a man in comedy. At the time of this recording Robyn had just quit her day-job to do comedy and promoting the regular shows she runs full-time. Last night I caught up with her while she was here visiting for the holidays. The good news is she hasn’t had to go back to working a real job to support comedy, THAT’S GREAT!!
