There are thousands of lone soldiers currently serving in the Israel Defense Forces. Lone soldiers have no family in Israel and most of them are new immigrants. Nefesh B’Nefesh, an organization that aids new immigrants from the United States and Canada, has helped lone soldiers for decades and is also expanding it help to lone soldiers from other countries as well.
