   Supreme Court Justice Yosef Elron dropped a proverbial bombshell Wednesday when he announced that he would seek election as the next Supreme Court president. Elron’s decision to throw his hat into the ring flies in the face of the so-called “seniority method” that has always been used to select the court’s president, and drew fiery rebukes. Some senior justice system officials who described Elron as a “Trojan horse,” and accused him of “turning his back on his colleagues. KAN's Mark Weiss spoke with Dr Guy Lurie, a  Research Fellow at the Israel Democracy Institute’s  Democratic Values and Institutions Program, and asked him if he was surprised by Yosef Elron’s announcement.
