Sinopsis

A new study by Tel Aviv university finds that we attribute more positive attributes to total strangers if we believe they will be part of our lives in the future.  The study was based on questionnaires with about 5,000 respondents from the United States who were presented with photos of individuals they had never met before. Those who were told to imagine they would have a positive relationship with attributed to them better looks, sounds and smells, than ones they were told they’d not likely see, the study found. Prof. Danit Ein-Gar, an expert in consumer behavior from the Coller School of Management at Tel Aviv University, led the research and spoke with reporter Arieh O’Sullivan.
