Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich is a racist and should resign for his move to block government funding to Arab authorities. This is the opinion of Dr. Thabit Abu Ras, the co-executive director of the Abraham Initiative, an NGO working to promote equality and integration between Arabs and Jews in Israel. He told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that while local Arab authorities are threatened or even infiltrated by crime, they still needed the funding to close the gaps in development with the rest of the country.
