Sinopsis
While voters tend to believe their decision on whom to vote for is an informed, rational and independent one, an analysis of demographic characteristics of voters has found they tend to cleave toward certain parties based on their ethnic and religious identity, along with socioeconomic standing. This fact precludes much shifting between political camps, contributing to the current political stalemate. The analysis, conducted by Dr. Or Anabi, a researcher at the Israel Democracy Institute, examined different polls conducted in the past year by the Viterbi Family Center for Public Opinion and Policy Research at the Israel Democracy Institute.
