The Czech Film Week 2022 kicked off this week in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa cinematheques. The highlight will be the award winning Czech film “Occupation,” which is being personally introduced by the director Michal Noheil. Robert Mikolas, the director of the Czech Center in Israel, notes that Czech cinematography is famous for its humor and there will be a number of well-known comedies. He said that Czech puppet theater was also in the country for the international puppet festival and joint Czech/Slovak exhibition of modern abstract art would be opening in Jerusalem.
