As the 125th Anniversary of the First Zionist Congress in Basel was being marked this week another pioneering body also came to Switzerland to address a more contemporary challenge for the Jewish people and the globe. The Keren Kayemet L’israel, known in English as the Jewish National Fund, got its start at the 5th Zionist Congress 120 years ago. Now it opened the main Anniversary highlighting the fight against the Climate Crisis and global warming.
