Climate change is here and the KKL – Jewish National Fund has placed it as one of their missions to face. It recently awarded two Israeli start ups 75,000 shekels each for developing technologies to deal with extreme climate situations; one implements an early detection of fires, and the other an early detection of floods. And they will conduct a pilot in the forests and streams of KKL – JNF for the next few years. We spoke with Dr. Doron Markel Chief Scientist of KKL-JNF about the two projects.
