The Histadrut  trade union federation has announced a general strike  in wake of the dismissal of the defense minister . Histadrut Chair Arnon Bar-David called on the prime minister to stop the judicial overhaul legislation before it was too late.    The Israel Medical Association also announced a strike of the healthcare system. Hospitals are operating in a reduced format. Ben Gurion Airport was closed to departures and  crowds of passengers are at the departure lounge.   About 74,000 passengers had been scheduled to go through the airport today, half of them departures.    Ashdod Port is also on strike.
