Despite rising inflation and the high cost of living, the Israeli public is expected to spend 7.8 billion shekels on food for Passover holiday, of which 250,000 tons valued at 1.9 billion shekels is expected to go to waste. At the same time, with the increased cost of living, more and more families struggle to make ends meet at the end of the month, and this holiday, the gap will grow even wider. Leket Israel, the National Food Bank, is continuing its efforts throughout the holiday to help all vulnerable populations in Israel in addressing food insecurity.
