Sinopsis

Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, an all-women led Home Run Applesauce podcast where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.  This week, we begin by discussing the Mets’ poor and sloppy play, the job security of Buck Showalter and Jeremy Hefner, Drew Smith’s sticky stuff debacle, Mark Vientos’ demotion, and Pride Night at Citi Field.  Next, we talk about Rob Manfred’s horrible press conference, which included a cowardly stance on team Pride Nights and insisting that the sticky stuff enforcement is actually fine. We also talk about MLB trying to limit spending on technology and front offices, Jacob deGrom’s Tommy John surgery, and another woman coming forward accusing Trevor Bauer of sexual assault. Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.  You can listen or subscribe to all of our wonderful Home Run Applesauce podcasts through App
