The IDF killed three senior Islamic Jihad figures in overnight strikes in the Gaza Strip, as part of an operation dubbed, "Shield and Arrow." Special directives were issued for communities up to 40 kilometers from the Gaza Strip; other municipalities in central Israel ordered the opening of bomb shelters as a precaution for retaliatory rocket fire. With Israel on alert, Col. (res.) Itamar Yaar, a former deputy head of Israel's National Security Council, and currently director of  Commanders for Israel's Security, told KAN's Naomi Segal that the terrorist response could come in different forms and timing, and gave his assessment of the latest developments.
