Taibe murders amplify calls on government to address crime and violence

Informações:

Sinopsis

The murder of a young mother and her two infant sons in Taibe brought the number of deaths by crime and violence in the Arab community since the start of the year to 64 – compared to 25 for the same period last year, a stark statistic for a national security minister who campaigned on a pledge of restoring governance and personal security. Dr. Thabet Abu Rass, co-executive director of the Abraham Initiatives, says that the recent tragedy must serve as a wake-up call, especially  for the Israeli government and police. He told KAN's Naomi Segal that the national security minister – and the current Israeli government in general – halted plans and programs put in place by the previous government to build trust and address the deeper causes of crime and violence.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
