Magnificent Life

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit." Titus 3:5   As a Christian, it is important to remember that our righteousness does not come from our good deeds or actions. Rather, it comes from the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Today's verse from Titus 3:5 reminds us that it can be easy to fall into the trap of thinking that we are righteous because we do good things for others or attend church regularly. However, this type of thinking is flawed and ultimately leads to pride and self-righteousness. Instead, we should strive to be conscious that our righteousness comes solely from God.   In the four gospels, Jesus had ongoing debates with the Pharisees.
