The Indianapolis Colts came into their Monday Night Football matchup with the New Orleans Saints with very slim odds to earn a playoff berth. After their performance in the Superdome, it was obvious that the Colts did not deserve to play in the postseason. Thus, with the 34-7 loss, the Colts were eliminated from contention in embarrassing fashion. The Colts were dominated by Drew Brees and the Saints' offense, as he broke Peyton Manning's career touchdown record as well as Philip Rivers' mark for the most accurate game in NFL history with a 97 percent completion rate (29-of-30). Meanwhile, Jacoby Brissett and the Colts' offense were never able to get anything started to combat what the Saints were able to do throughout the game. Of their 8 possessions, the Colts punted on 6, turned the ball over on downs once, and were only able to score on their final drive of the game. The Colts were 3 of 12 on third down opportunities, totaled 205 yards on the night, and were only able to get a piece of Brees twice (zero s
