Every state should adopt Oklahoma's school choice model, the state's Superintendent of Education Ryan Walters said. "We have the best school choice in the country, and it's a national model that every state should follow," Walters told The Daily Signal at Erick Erickson’s The Gathering conference in Atlanta over the weekend. "But frankly, I think that I've asked for federal legislation along this way as well." Elon Musk is standing up for free speech in the U.K. following last month’s elections that resulted in huge wins for the far-left Labor Party.  Since its rise to power in July, Labor Party leaders have begun cracking down on social media, even arresting individuals for posts they claim incite violence. Now, Musk is using his X account to defend users and raise concerns over the crackdown in the U.K.  “It’s 2030 in the U.K., & you’re being executed for posting a meme,” Must wrote on X Saturday.  “The Brits gave up their guns, and now their government puts them in jail for Facebook posts,” a meme that Musk shared reads.   Musk is combating a “tyrannical-style policing of social media in the U.K.,” says Nile Gardiner, a former adviser to Lady Margaret Thatcher and the current director of the Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom at The Heritage Foundation.  “Thank God for Elon Musk taking on the Labor Government,” Gardiner declared during an interview on The Daily Signal Podcast. For years, Jeff and Tricia Bradford kept their abortion a secret from their friends and church community.  “We hid our story, because of the deep shame and regret that we had,” Jeff Bradford says.  The couple was engaged when Tricia, then 20, learned she was pregnant. President Joe Biden’s proposed changes to the Supreme Court are “shameful” and “dangerous,” legal expert John Malcolm says. Last week, Biden announced a “bold plan to reform the Supreme Court,” including ending lifetime appointments in favor of 18-year terms, implementation of an enforceable code of ethics, and an attempt to reverse the U.S. Supreme Court's recent ruling on presidential immunity. “It is attempting to attack the integrity of the court and to destroy the independence of the one body that is supposed to be apolitical,” says Malcolm, senior legal fellow and vice president of the Institute for Constitutional Government at The Heritage Foundation.
