    Gabe Johnson was sitting in his apartment Saturday night in Portland, Oregon, when he heard the gunshots that took the life of a man later identified as Aaron "Jay" Danielson.  Johnson, a Marine Corps veteran and Portland local, has watched the violence unfold in his city over the past three months.
