Newstalk has learned that unlike normal households, small companies have to pay a large lump sum in cash to many energy suppliers in advance - before they're even allowed to sign a contract with set energy prices. It’s having a major impact on cash flow for SMEs and causing their costs to soar. To discuss this further Brian Goff from the food court in St Stephen Green Shopping Centre spoke to Joe this morning.

They’ve been asking them about risk and what their concerns are amid soaring prices and a war on the European continent.
