We are getting increasingly familiar with Fintech companies. They are of course technology companies at their heart but they operate in the financial space and are ruffling feathers with traditional banks and even insurance companies. A new Fintech company has announced that Dublin will be their European headquarters. Ralph Dangelmeier Chief Executive with BlueSnap spoke to Joe this morning on the show.

The budget is in exactly 4 weeks from today. And given the soaring cost of energy, it could prove to be just as monumental as the emergency budgets and support packages announced at the start of lockdowns in 2020. So what should we expect? Over the next few weeks, we’ll hear perspectives from small and large companies and we’re gonna start with the employer's lobby group IBEC. The Government is considering introducing a windfall tax on the profits of energy companies in the Budget. So how would such a tax work? Lisa Ryan, Professor in Energy Economics at UCD School of Economics and UCD Energy Institute joined Jonathan Healy on the show.
