Prayer N Lunch

Reading: NUMBERS 21:5 Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in this wilderness? For there is no food and no water: and we detest this miserable food”  Prayer: Unchanging God, help me to recognize you in some of the unchanging things in  my life.

Reading: DANIEL 13:41 “Because they were the elders of the people and judges, the people believed them” Prayer Lord, give me the courage of compassion.

JOHN 12:23 “Now among those who went up to the festival were Greeks. They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and said to him, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus” Prayer: Approachable God, plant me as a seed in the lives of others. Teach me to surrender my own life so that they might live.

Reading Luke 18:14  I tell you, this man went down to his home justified, rather than the other; for all who exalt them selfs will be humbled, but all who humble themselves will be exalted. Prayer: God of transparency, teach me to be honest when I pray.

Reading: HOSEA 14:8-9 Your faithfulness comes from me, Let those who are wise understand these things; let those who are discerning know them. Prayer: God of wisdom, grant me the wisdom to know that all good is your doing.

Reading ROMANS 4:13 “Certainly the promise made to Abraham and his descendants that they would inherit the world did not depend on the law; it was made in view of the justice that comes from faith. Hence, all depends on faith, everything is a grace”

Matthew 5:17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets: I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Prayer: God of understanding, open my mind to hear you tell old stories in new words.

Reading: GENESIS 22;2 “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering” Prayer: God of Faithfulness, keep my eyes wide open as I try follow faithfully

Reading: MATTHEW 5:45 “For he makes his sunrise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and on the unrighteous” Prayer:  Lord, together, let us make it a good day.

MATTHEW 5:20 “Unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven”  Prayer: God of fearlessness, calm my fears and make my speech courageous.

PSALM 138:1 ” Today, the psalm says it best: “I will give thanks to you, O lord, With all my heart, for you have heard the words of my mouth” Prayer: Thank you, God for the answers I cannot see.
