Prayer N Lunch

Saeed Abedini remains imprisoned in Iran, and in his recent Christmas letter, he noted that his jailers threatened him, and made him take down his lone Christmas decoration: A paper cross. We’d like to show him, and his wife, Nagheh, and kids, that he is not forgotten. So how about putting your own

“The Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14) Jesus, help me be more ready to celebrate your presence with us.

“God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love.” (Ephesians 1:4) Jesus, help me participate more fully in my church community.

“Do not bother me; the door has already been locked, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything.” (Luke 11;11;7) Jesus, help me open myself to others and their needs.

Nothing Can Take Away Our Joy “Very truly, I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice, you will have pain, but your pain will turn into joy.” (John 16;22) Jesus, help me trust you to face the challenges that help me grow.

“I have swept away your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like mist; return to me, for I have redeem you.’(Isaiah 44:22) Jesus, help me return to your embrace.

Ninth Day-O God, You have been please to bestow upon us unceasing favours by having placed us under the special protection of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Grant us, your humble servants, who rejoice in honour in her today upon earth, the happiness of seeing her face to face in heaven.

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own, but will speak whatever he hears, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. (John 16:13) Jesus, help me let my whole life be changed by your presence.

Eighth Day-With my heart full of the most sincere veneration, I prostrate myself before you, O Mother, to ask you to obtain for me the grace to fulfill the duties of my state in life with faithfulness and constancy.

He encourage us to pray every day to the Holy Spirit in the words like this: “Holy Spirit, make my heart open to the word of God, make my heart open to goodness, make my heart open to the beauty of God every day.” Holy Spirit, help me open my heart to Jesus.

Seventh Day-O Lady of Guadalupe, we beg you that parents live a holy life and educate their children in a Christian manner; that children obey and follow the directions of their parents; that all members of the family pray and worship together. This we ask of you, O Mother.

“The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you.” (John 14:26) Holy Spirit, help me listen to your message of God’s love.

Sixth Day-Mary, Mother of vocations, multiply priestly vocations and fill the earth with religious houses with will be light and warmth for the world, safety in stormy nights. Beg your Son to send us many priests and religious. This we ask of you, O Mother.

Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that
