Our relegation battle is well and truly on as the Dons are downed by St Johnstone and St Mirren, leaving us in 10th place in the Scottish Premiership, just four points ahead of Ross County in 11th. And whilst the Chairman has commented on X, it doesn't change anything.  It doesn't give any insight as to how our current predicament is going to be fixed and the evidence in front of us shows that we are going to have a tough few months ahead of us until the end of the season. Another double episode of the AFC DONScast this week. Between the two matches five goals in total as we draw against both Motherwell and Hibs at Pittodrie in two entertaining matches. Whilst encouragement can be taken from a Dons comeback it doesn't get away from the fact that our top six ambitions have been harmed by the results. Neil Warnock arrived through the Pittodrie doors last Monday and was straight down to business with a midweek fixture against Rangers. It didn't come as a surprise after the Dundee match midweek the plug was pulled on Barry Robson's reign as Dons manager. Our lowly league position and on-field malaise sealed his downfall, the 1-1 draw against Dundee midweek not helping. We hear from Barry in his final interview following the match. Peter Leven took over management responsibilities temporarily for the Celtic game on Saturday.  A nervy first half but a more entertaining second, saw us earn a point against the league leaders. With 3,000 odd supporters heading towards or in Dundee, an unexpected call-off an hour before kick-off wasn't the ideal pre-Christmas jaunt for the Red Army. Dons Chief Executive, Alan Burrows provides his thoughts on the postponed match. A big week for the Dons as we bow out of the UEFA Europa Conference League with a 2-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt, but ended the week in disappointment, with a 1-0 loss against Rangers in the Scottish League Cup final at Hampden. Aberdeen had just three wins in 14 league games up until this weekend. The snow fell, jingle bells was sung and the Dons drew in our penultimate UEFA Europa Conference League match against HJK Helsinki last Thursday. Our European journey beyond Christmas comes to an end following our draw in Greece against PAOK and we suffer a hangover on Sunday with a lacklustre performance against Celtic in Glasgow. A successful week for the Dons.  A convincing win against Motherwell midweek and we ground out a result against Hibs in the Scottish League Cup semi-final on Saturday. Three points in Europe were snatched away from us in the final minutes of our match against PAOK at Pittodrie on Thursday night.   Pre-match with Stefan Gartenmann and Barry Robson and post match reaction following the game with Barry.
