Josh Scramlin's got an update with Keri Retallick on the Passion for Pork program and reaction to the cancelled WI State Fair.  WI Pork Association operates the Pork Shoppe at the WI State Fair - a major source of funding for the group. They're working on it!  An alternate face-to-face livestock show to help replace the cancelled county fairs and the WI State Fair.  Erica Crouch is on the executive board of the WI Livestock Expo - being planned for April. Barge traffic along the Mississippi River is going much smoother this year then last!  Kaitlyn Riley's got an update. The Wisconsin FFA Convention will go forward - virtually - next month.  This week the board of directors made the decision.  There's still details being ironed out, but Josh Scramlin visited with Jeff Hicken from the Department of Public Instruction, on some of their plans already in place. Coronavirus Farm Assistance Program - CFAP - is now accepting applications at county Farm Service Agency offices.  Dr. Mark Stephenson, Center for Dairy Profitability, explains what dairies can expect to get for milk - and also marketed livestock. The Wisconsin State Fair has officially cancelled for 2020.  We're talking with Bernie O'Rourke, UW-Extension Youth Livestock Specialist, about the impact this will have on exhibitors and families - as well as her own. Brenda Scheider, Executive Director of Wisconsin's 4-H Foundation, says they're concerned about the financial impact of not having the state fair and the Governor's Blue Ribbon Meat Products auction, will have on their organization.  Last year it raised nearly $100,000 in an evening - about 30% of their yearly budget.
