Sometimes you just turn a corner. In today's A1 Show it feels like it's all starting to come together. On today's A1 Show we have former Giro d'Italia, Tour de France and World Champion Stephen Roche on the show. Stephen talks to us about how he thinks power meters should be banned from road races. Do you agree? We also spent the day hanging out with Cycling Maven. Maven was in Dublin for a few days working between Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France. We managed to catch up with him and show him around the city. We'll have a vlog featuring him out early next week. We're putting out a video every weekday at the moment - if you've any topics you'd like to see us make a video on let us know. __________________________________________________________________ Founded in 2013 by former Irish pro-cyclists Anthony Walsh and Aaron Buggle, A1 Coaching is an internationally recognised coaching company focused on improving performances of cyclists and triathletes. We've made it to Episode 30 folks - thanks for all your support so far, we have much more great content to come! The topic has become more prevalent in recent days following some big get downs in last weekend's Paddy Flanagan race. We offer solutions to solving the problem, and take suggestions live on air. As criterium season is under way, the lads give their tips for the safest and most successful results for your crit season. After spending years crit racing professionally across Europe and America, Anthony and Aaron share their experiences and memories. Also in this show, we visit the ever controversial subject of Lance Armstrong. With the "Whistle Blower" case set for decision in November the battle has already started. Wicklow 200, Dan Martin and A4 Crash Fest | A1 Show Ep 29

    20/06/2017 Duración: 37min

Anthony & Aaron are fresh off the Wicklow 200. The Wicklow 200 was their first taste of sportive life. Riding a Sportive/Gran Fondo for the first time threw up some funny stories but also a new respect for this side of our sport. The lads also look back at one of the Criterium de Dauphine. The final stage was one of the most tense we've seen in years. Jakob Fuglsang was on the attack with Dan Martin late and this proved to be decisive. Jakob Fuglsang (Astana Pro Cycling) would take the overall win. Richie Porte finished up second on GC with Dan Martin (Quick step Floors) rounding out the podium. The A4 race in Newbridge this past weekend has raised a debate in Irish cycling. What can we do to make A4 racing safer? The race was called to a halt as a result of a huge crash with numerous broken bones. The lads propose a simple strategy which could solve the problem. How do you think we make A4 racing safer? If you like the show be sure to subscribe to the channel. We need the subs :) ____________________

Leo Varadker's Velodrome | Rás Dhun na nGall | Time Trials - Comfort or Pace? - Episode 27

    07/06/2017 Duración: 30min

As the A1 Shpw returns following the aftermath of An Post Rás 2017, the lads have an array of topics to discuss (and argue, of course). On today's show we look at the ever closer reality of Ireland getting its first ever indoor Velodrome. The topic has resurfaced in the A1 Offices lately following the appointment of Leo Varadker as Ireland's new Taoiseach (PM), who earlier in the year campaigned for the construction of the Velodrome. We also look back on the results from this year's Rás Dhun na nGall - which saw some of Ireland's youngest elite riders put their limits to the test in Donegal. In response to a question sent in to us, we look at the balance between comfort and performance in a Time Trial. All that and much more in the A1 Show - Episode 27 _____________________________________________________ Founded in 2013 by former Irish pro-cyclists Anthony Walsh and Aaron Buggle, A1 Coaching is an internationally recognised coaching company focused on improving performances of cyclists and triathletes.
