  • 112 - Couscous, Smoke, and the Maker Mindset

    29/05/2017 Duración: 17min

Welcome to Savoring Our Lives! In this week's episode, we talk about: Budget Update We're still using Mint to track our money and trying to be mindful and responsible. We chose to make a Blue Apron recipe instead of going out. While Chad really dislikes couscous he was glad we stayed home and made dinner. Smoke Alarm Fun Searing pork for another recipe meant too much smoke in the house and the Nest smoke alarm let us know it was ready to go off. This was the first time since we installed the Nest alarm that it was about to activate. Maker Mindset and Fashion One of the employees at Chad's client this week was an inspiration because he is always willing to take on new challenges and help move the company forward. He is the complete embodiment of the growth mindset. Want to share your story about how you’re savoring your life? Tell us! She ignored the dogs and decided to go shopping for treats and bully sticks instead. Are Budgets like Diets? We sat down to figure out our budget and found we might be savoring a little too much in the Restaurants & Bars category! Awareness is key to finances/budgeting. It's important to sit down and take a look at your finances so you know where you are and can determine where you're going. Industrial Revolution Chad had a client in Indiana and was intrigued by Industrial Revolution Eatery & Grille.  It looked cool, so he stopped in for dinner. They offer a featured burger for their weekly salute to an innovator. Want to share your story about how you’re savoring your life? Tell us!
