  • 135: Love Is A Verb with Dr. Carrie Kholi-Murchison and Holley M. Kholi-Murchison

    20/01/2022 Duración: 50min

True love, real love, "the one"... the way people describe love is pretty and aspirational, but ultimately super vague. What does love actually feel like? How do you know it's love and not just old habits or displaced desires? Is love even a noun at all, or is it an action? And HOW THE HECK do you separate your own self-love from the love you experience from someone else — especially if that person fills many roles in your life? In this episode, I talk to partners in life, love, and business, Dr. Carrie Kholi-Murchison and Holley Kholi-Murchison (also two of my favorite humans on the planet). These two are each true forces of natures as individuals — so when their powers combine, they're unstoppable: from their work together as co-founders of HOLI. Brands to their upcoming four-week immersive Skillshare course, Build the Next Chapter of Your Career, to the way they champion each other professionally AND personally, they're such strong models of how to truly be in relationship and partnership with someone else

  • 134: Rethinking "Goals" When You're Feeling Burnt Out

    11/01/2022 Duración: 17min

Whether it's NEW YEAR NEW YOU season or not, setting goals and benchmarks when you're already feeling burnt out feels unrealistic at best, cruel at worst. If you're anything like me, you're starting the year feeling more than "meh." You might WANT to set plans into motion, but also might be feeling too defeated to even start. I'm with you. As someone who actually DOES want to look forward with excitement and possibility (and yes, maybe some goals too), I've begun to ask myself: How the heck do you start setting goals when you feel like you've got so much recent "proof" that reaching your goals isn't really up to you in the first place? • 130: "Enoughness" And Feeling Like You're Not Enough

    06/08/2021 Duración: 10min

The other day, I asked you what self-talk you’d help shifting. And the word ENOUGH appeared at least 15xs: not SMART enough, not COOL enough, not STRONG enough, not SUCCESSFUL enough... ...apparently, a whole lot of us are walking around telling ourselves “I’m not enough” in some way, shape or form. Here’s a guide to start to break down (and build up!) your “enoughness.”    SHOW NOTES: Follow Katie on Instagram Leave a review on iTunes (and subscribe to the WANTcast if you haven't already!) • 127: How To Motivate Yourself To Move Forward (When It's Super Tempting Not To)

    11/06/2021 Duración: 19min

If you're feeling particularly...um...tested lately (by people, by work, by life being life), welcome to the club. Because you, along with pretty much everyone else, are in the middle of a transition. And moving forward might feel so hard — or annoying — that you feel like maybe it's not worth the energy to even try. In this solo episode, we're diving into how to move forward when it's really tempting not to (and why those temptations feel so freaking tempting. I hear you!)...and how to use what's commonly seen as a "negative" feeling to your full advantage.   SHOW NOTES: Prefer to read instead of listen? Here's a written version of this episode. • 126: Do You Have "Reopening Anxiety?"

    28/05/2021 Duración: 19min

You're not the same as you were one year ago. And you shouldn’t be.  But maybe you're struggling right now as things start to look eerily similar to how they "Once Were," and feeling the pressure of needing to replicate the UN-USEFUL parts of pre-2020 times in order to be successful, loved, or just get through the day (even though you've seen that the Once Were ways weren't working). In this episode, I'm sharing my thoughts around what I call "reopening anxiety," and some things you can do this week to calm that part of your mind that feels like all the important lessons you learned over the last year are at the risk of being forgotten.   SHOW NOTES: Join me for the WANT Your Self RETREAT in Paros, Greece: Oct 4-9!Follow me on InstagramLeave a review on iTunes! (We're also laughing a lot, because Jessica brings SO much joy to the WANTcast.) Her new book, Know Your Endo: An Empowering Guide To Health and Hope with Endometriosis, isn't only for people with endo – but for people who think they could possibly have endo, for people who love people who have/could have endo, or people who are questioning if the “normal” they experience is the same “normal” they hear everyone else talking about. • 123: On Feeling Seen + Navigating Invisible Illness with Harper Spero

    02/04/2021 Duración: 52min

When business coach Harper Spero was diagnosed with an extremely rare immunodeficiency disorder known as Job’s syndrome, she was determined to create her own narrative. She believes that battling an invisible illness should not define you.    Not only has Harper learned to embrace her invisible illness, but she has carved a new path and given hope to many who feel equally veiled. Harper couldn’t find podcasts featuring stories of people similar to her. In 2018, Harper launched the podcast Made Visible to help people with invisible illnesses (and those who care for them) feel more seen and heard. In 2020, she launched the Made Visible Writing Class to help others write and share their stories of invisible illness. In this episode we talk about what it's like to live with an invisible illness, and what that means during the times of pandemic. We also talk about access and privilege when it comes to getting help, the countless benefits of learning about stories that look different than your own, how to feel —

She believes all girls deserve the right to be safe and loved.
