S9|E1 Cisco Service Mesh Manager
10/01/2022Join us for an informal discussion on why enterprise microservices architectures rely on open source service mesh, such as Istio, to secure, connect, observe and control services with little or no changes to the application code. In addition, how Cisco Service Mesh Manager, an extension of Intersight Kubernetes Service, builds upon the advantages of 100% upstream Istio by adding a powerful UI/API and tooling to manage complex multi-cluster applications and services cross any cloud, any time, and from anywhere. S8|E51 Threat Hunting: It's a Technique
19/12/2021Threat hunting is a security practice where you look for threats that have managed to get past your defenses and have hidden themselves within your environment. It’s not just about uncovering threats, but also implementing policies and playbooks to shore up your security posture. In fact, some of the most successful hunts may not uncover a threat at all. Rather, they identify a weakness in the environment that needs to be addressed. In this episode, we’ll discuss the practice of threat hunting and how to transition to remediation once a threat or weakness has been identified. S8|E39 The Future of Wireless
26/09/20215G and Wi-Fi 6, the next generation of mobile wireless technologies are here! But what does that mean? Where and how is 5G being deployed? What is Wi-Fi 6? Who’s on first? What’s on second? There are a myriad of questions about the next generation of wireless connectivity, from what it will look like, to how it will be used, to the experiences it enables. The future of wireless connectivity with 5G and Wi-Fi 6 is much more than enhancing the consumer experience, it is poised to reshape industries. Unlike the previous generations of mobile technology that brought us voice, added data, shared multimedia, 5G’s true impact will be the scale at which it enables innovative new applications. Much of 5G will be invisible to the average consumer, working in the background, in factories and fields, in vehicles and sensors, in machines and monitors. And 5G won’t be doing this alone, Wi-Fi will continue to play a critical role. In this episode of Cisco Champion Radio we’ll discuss the current state of 5G, the archit

S8|E34 Ransomware and Cisco Zero-Trust Networking
22/08/2021Nearly every day we can read about “ransomware” holding another organization’s data hostage, shutting their operations down, or disrupting their supply chain. Commercial enterprises, major utilities, large healthcare providers, processing facilities—even small businesses aren’t safe from being the target of these attacks. The key to preventing your organization from falling prey to ransomware is to keep several steps ahead of hackers. In many cases, the tools you need to protect your data are already available in your network. With the recent introduction of Continuous Trusted Access and the new Cisco Trust Analytics you can now secure your network from several potential attack vectors. Trust Analytics is part of Cisco SD-Access, Cisco’s best-of-breed Zero Trust solution for the workplace. Trust Analytics detects traffic from endpoints that are exhibiting unusual behavior by pretending to be trusted endpoints using MAC Spoofing, Probe Spoofing, or Man-in-the-Middle techniques.
