Our lives are often filled with noise and busyness - we find ourselves running from one place to another. We often wear the badge of busyness with a sense of honour. "In this world you will have trouble."  These words from Jesus feel more true today than they have ever felt.  Whether it's the global pandemic, the unrest and tensions around the world, or our own brokenness - grief will find us.  But Jesus doesn’t want to leave us in our grief.  He wants to bring hope - not only to us - but to the world hurting around us.  Jesus wants to do something new, and through our pain and heartache, is looking to use the Church as agents of hope.  He is calling us to something great, and that is worth being hopeful about!

This Sunday marks the culmination of our 40 days with Jesus emphasis, and we have a special service planned! These are confusing and disorienting days for the human race. No one alive on the earth today has firsthand experience with the impact of a global pandemic of this size and scale. It raises questions for many of us - what is God doing? Why is He allowing this to happen? How is He going to redeem this for His sovereign purposes? Where is God in all of this? While none of us ultimately knows all that is in the mind and heart of God, we do know His character is unchanging.
