    11/02/2018 Duración: 37min

Sunday, 11 February 2018 | Graham Webb – Love God – Encourage One Another – Transform Chester Do you love God? Do you love Jesus? In Joshua 22:5, Joshua is told to be very careful to love the Lord. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus tells us to seek first his kingdom; to put God’s purposes first. Are we careful to love the Lord? Do we put him first? We should. But there is no need for us to feel that this is an onerous obligation or a burden. The amazing truth is that God gives us the power to love him – as well as all the reason we could ever need. Romans 5:5 – God’s love has been poured into our hearts; he helps us to love him!

    24/12/2017 Duración: 24min

Sunday, 24 December 2017 | Emma Beddoes Isaiah 9:6-7, ESV For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and for evermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this. These words were given to Isaiah 700 years before Jesus was born. What must Isaiah have made of this, as he was writing it? How did he know this was God? For that matter, how does anyone hear God? How do we know when God is speaking to us? Against the backdrop of this Messianic prophecy, which foretold the coming of the Saviour Jesus Christ, Emma offers practical advice for all Christians, as relevant in ancient Bethlehem as it is for us today. And she considers some names by which our Lord is kn

One moment, Paul is explaining the 100% Sovereignty of God and a moment later he tells us that we have complete responsibly for how we behave. The conclusion, it is God’s action alone that saves someone and secondly, it is because of people’s rejection of the gospel that they are lost. Ultimately we need Jesus...

Not only are you not condemned, you can never and will never be condemned, in Christ.

Sunday, 29 October 2017 | Graham Anns We can trust God, as we walk along the road of life; people should see that our journey isn’t so much about our getting from A to B as being about our trust in him. As we walk on the road of life we will meet people God has placed there. To those people, we most demonstrate Christ – where we work, in our communities, in our sports clubs, in ours schools. God commissions us to love him and to love our neighbours. That’s our calling. Our neighbours are worthy of the same attention we give ourselves. Graham teaches from Luke 10:25-37, the parable of the Good Samaritan and reminds us that this journey may be messy!

  • He Believed God (preacher: Keith Cooper)

    15/10/2017 Duración: 32min

Sunday, 15 October 2017 | Keith Cooper Keith preaches today from Chapter 4 of the book of Romans. A key theme in this chapter is that “Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Paul here gives examples (in the form of Abraham and Kind David) of the way in which justification works. The kind of people God declares to be righteous are people of faith. Abraham was justified in Christ by faith, even before the time Christ’s sacrifice had occurred. Everyone at every point in history must come to God in the same way, through the same door. It helps to understand this passage by thinking of “family”. God is the gracious parent who gives us much though we have nothing of value to give in return.
