This week the Comics Podcast is in dissaray! Fresh off a mind-bending week in which audio files were corrupted the intrepid members banded together to tackle the latest comic releases. Thankfully they didn't start there as Emily tells tales of her new cat Buster, Jean-Luc regales the masses with stories of Riverdale and its ilk, Chad's birthday is today and we're all very grateful for him, and Alex edited the show using Zencaster. Taylor Swift is putting out music again, so that means we have something to talk about. Also Riverdale. So much Riverdale...And Emily saw a bunch of movies, and Jean-luc did stuff probably. I don't remember. Just noticed we were a week late on an episode and our last one only got six views, and I'm wondering why we put money into this when it's literally just our own ego masturbation about comic books which lets be real, no one actually cares or respects anymore. Y'all been to comicbookroundup? Worthless. Speaking of, we talk about comics. There's Bliss, Radiant Black, Tom King stuff I think, Scarenthood, some Orcs thing if I heard Emily right, and at least one more I don't remember.

Emily's out again, so it's another week of the good boys hanging out and chatting like the ol' days. Despite having a lot of comics to talk about (including a new Mirka Andolfo book) the first half of the show is spent doing bits and talking about Riverdale. Not enough Riverdale talk imo but we take what we can get, I suppose. As for comics there were a bunch of #1s--Luna, Fear Case, Chained to the Grave, and Deep Beyond which take up the bulk of the time. And then they end the show, we'll see y'all next week!

The best thing about a late episode is that the next episode comes sooner! Episode #238 is light on comics but that's ok because it's heavy on everything else. Chad brings up George Lucas, Jean-Luc talks about his new Lego stream and Alex shills for Liquid Death Mountain Water! The comics they do talk about are a mixed bag because they include Future State: Aquaman #1 and Future State: Superman vs. Imperius Lex, but there's also Department of Truth #4,#5 which more than makes up for the mediocrity. Also we miss Emily and await her return in two episodes time.

Boy does that episode title sure look like a random word generator of stuff! Lucky for you it isn't! This week, Chad gets messy as he tries to paint more Warhammer, Jean-luc does Lego, Alex watches Naruto, and Emily reads more Warrior Cats. It's a lot of fun. For comics we talk Tom King's Batman/Catwoman, Stillwater, Universe!, more DC Future State, Brubaker's Pulp, Watchman, and a bunch more. Lot of fun to be had! Oh and Abbot 1776. That's gonna be one to follow this year.

Wow look at that, two new episodes in three days! Boy oh boy do we spoil our listeners around here. This week there's plenty to talk about, as that one anime Chad and Emily watch and I don't know how to spell takes some turns, and Jean-Luc and Alex read all 14 of the new DC Future State books. Later in the episode, tha gang gets Jokerfied with Haha #1 and some clean up of comics from the past couple weeks.

With Emily gone, Jean-luc, Alex, and Chad decided to turn their attention to New Years, Christmas, Star Wars, and Lego. It's a pretty low-stakes show with lots of fun chatting and at least one break to get more alcohol, so you know, typical comics podcast stuff. Hope y'all enjoy!

Anyway there is absolutely 0 comic talk this week as we instead turn our sights to our favorite non-comics media of the year, as well as some oddball lists we decided to throw in for fun. On this week's relaxing episode of pre-Christmas shenanigans, Jean-luc is out, so Chad, Emiy, and Alex just sorta chat about stuff. Chad bought a new table, Alex got a promotion, Neopets did a thing that made Emily excited. VR comes up for a bit, as does Star Wars. Comic books include Wonder Woman: Dead Earth, Big Girls, Roreschach, and Mr. Miracle. Oh and that new Brubaker thing. I can't remember what it's called, but it was fun! The Swiftdash has returned! Also, it's already mid-December??? Wow, time flies when you've recorded 231 episodes of the only comics podcast on the internet. This week, the gang talk about Taylor Swift's new album Evermore and how it compares to the majesty of Folkore. Chad has finished the first season of Mandalorian and he has a bone to pick with Jean-Luc and Alex. Emily is wonderful as always and they even talk some comics! Including Crossover #2, Scarenthood #2, Getting it Together #3, Sweet Tooth: The Return #2, Homesick Pilots #1 and a really bad Superman book that will remain unnamed. Ooo also check out Dirty Summer and Marigold by Mother Falcon. They're rad.

Don't really remember what all we talked about because I didn't edit this one. I think it was Batman / Catwoman, Mandalorian, that Inuyasha sequel whose name I can never spell and don't feel like looking up. Maybe a bit of VR chat and movies. Basically the same garbage we always talk about. I have a cute cat. We didn't talk about that, but I do have a cute cat

On this wild and crazy episode, Chad, Emily, JL, and Alex talk about sexy body pillows, Godzilla's private parts, Christmas movies, Star Wars, and more! They then talk about this week's book club pick Batman Hush and why it's not as good as All Star Batman and Robin. Enjoy. Also be aware that the audio is a bit messy because the zencaster connection wasn't perfect all of the time. Things clip in and out more than normal. Nothing i could do to fix it. Sorry :(

This week on the comics podcast Chad chats about his ancesters while Jean-Luc challenges everyone to a rap battle. Emily talks about the new Adventure Time episode and Alex has fun editing. Pretty sure the x in the title has nothing to do with crossing over and more to do with crossing inside if you get my drift. Also we talked about comics but I didn't edit this and i don't remember anything other than the Jesus x the Easter Bunny bit. So enjoy that i guess.

Some minor audio issues throughout--someone's mic picked up some static I couldn't quite remove--but the conversation's still good! On this wonderful little adventure, Jean-luc is back to sadly hear Chad and Emily talk about the new Inuyasha sequel, Yashahime Princess Half Demon. He gets his revenge by talking Star Wars with Alex. Alex also talks about The Flash. There's also a little Harley Quinn talk, and then COMIC BOOKS! So many. We got Die, Adventureman, Lost Soldier, Getting it Together, and Coffinbound. We wrap up the conversation with our dive into Dragon Sanctuary, a pretty fun webcomic you can read for free on the web!
