Zack Fowler heads Strategic Partnerships for AMPLIFY Girls, an international collective of community-driven organizations that are investing in raising girls’ agency and amplifying their voices. Zack talks about how over 40 organizations in east Africa work in very different areas, from education to rescuing abuse victims, for one cause--to change the lives of girls.

Paige Oxendine co-founded Rosie with Rachel Anderson in 2016 with the purpose of helping women to connect and access resources for career development, business assistance, leadership, access board service opportunities and other alliances that would serve them professionally and benefit Springfield, Missouri. The network grew to over 1,000 very quickly and now has moved to a larger platform with even more opportunities with Leadership Springfield.

Adam Ramos is a partner with Hinkley Allen Litigation Group and became a board member with the Women's Fund of Rhode Island (WFRI) and serious advocate for women's equity. 

Andrea Grant, a Certified Diversity Search Professional (CDSP), has worked for over 25 years for major corporations and as a serial entrepreneur with a love for human resources. However, she says that DEI and all the other acronyms applied to diversity today doesn't mean we're being equitable and creating a culture of belonging, and that lack of belonging is keeping women from coming back to work.

Asha Dahya is a passionate storyteller, who writes, produces films, and speaks out about empowering women to share their stories and fight for Reproductive Justice and women's rights to freedom of choice without limitation and judgement. Asha founded GirlTalk HQ as a hobby, a digital support network to give women a place to share their stories, then she wrote a book, Today's Wonder Women: Everyday Superheroes Who Are Changing the World. Now she is in the final stages of post-production on a short documentary, Someone You Know, featuring three women who made three decisions amidst the hostile landscape that faces women who must get late term abortions.

Dr. Denise Caleb is president of HR Standards Institute. She admits that women are being impacted disproportionately by COVID, whether "by choice or by request, women did leave the workforce during COVID 19 at a higher level and rate." She says that we have to be very careful as a workforce to make sure we recapture those levels of talent among those that want to come back to work. She urges companies to make the processes of talent acquisition happen systematically and with ease, so women can be interviewed and able to re-enter the workforce. She also warns women not to end up being underemployed. She wants to make sure that women get hired at the same level or higher than they left at and are positioned with their seat at the table so they can contribute.

Katica Roy tells Dr. Nancy about her own journey as a breadwinner mom to achieve equal pay and decided there must be an easier way through advanced technology. She founded Pipeline Equity, an SaaS platform that provides companies with augmented decision tools to determine if decisions will result in equitable outcomes before they are made. Katica says that all decisions need to be made with a gender lens because it benefits everyone, increasing entire economies, peace and prosperity throughout the world.

Michelle Li is an award-winning journalist and news anchor in St. Louis, MO, who was also born in Korea and raised in the U.S. In this interview she tells about how on New Years Day, she was given a piece to read about foods to celebrate the New Year. After reading about the American traditions, she added that she had rice cake soup (Duk Guk) that a lot of Koreans eat for New Years. She received a voice mail criticizing her and telling her to keep her Korean to herself. She posted it on social media and #VeryAsian started trending world-wide. A short time later Michelle and Gia Vang co-founded the Very Asian Foundation to advocate for and celebrate Asians all over the world. Listen to hear the whole story.

Julie Castro Abrams tells about How Women Lead, her social justice organization that brings women together to make an impact. Over 14,000 women become fierce advocates for each other and help one another in many ways, including investing in women-owned businesses and recommending them for seats on corporate boards. Julie stresses the need for women to step out, speak out and work together for gender and racial equality.

Lucina Di Meco describes how #She-Persisted works to stop social media attacks against women leaders. False claims and targeted threats prevent young woman running for political office and threaten the safety of those in the spotlight. She calls it a threat to democracy and free speech. In fact there is no free speech for these targeted women. We can all help. Lucina explains how.

Jennifer Faust talks about Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara and how they equip girls with the confidence to become women who live successful lives. Besides being a voice for girls, the programs of Girls Inc. National and the affiliates in the US and Canada provide numerous supports including mentoring, sports and a network of girls who go on to lead as women.

Amanda B. Cunningham is COO of Her Future Coalition and the social profit partner, Yoga Medicine® Seva, which both serve the mission to end human trafficking in India and Nepal. These are the epicenter for the sale of human beings, mostly girls, throughout the world. Amanda describes cultures that see a girl's value as how much she will bring when she is sold. Her organizations provide education for girls to lift them out of poverty and give them worth beyond what they can bring as products. Successful graduates often serve their communities filling roles that need women to help with problems caused by viewing women as "less than."
